by Kathryn White In 1990, I was a graduate student in Boulder, Colorado, participating in the planning of International Women’s Week. I was within a year of coming out as a lesbian. The planning committee was a diverse group varying along dimensions of age, race, ethnicity, sexual preference, gender identity and class.
