Celebration of Robin's Life was held Saturday, April 29 AT 2:00 PM at Berkeley Friends House
First Light
In the great spirit's rising breath,
first light comes over us,
soft as a morning dove's blue-gray breast.
An acclamation of yellow wings
flashes its rhythmic assent across the horizon
to herald the advent of dawn.
Motionless air over Pyramid Lake, still
as it was in deepest darkness moments ago,
yet everything has changed.
Robin was born to George and Helen Dickerson in Petaluma California, and had a beloved younger brother, George "Bud" Dickerson, who died at age 2. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Meier; and her first husband, Jim Standish. She is survived by her three children, David Standish, Ulrich Standish and Miriam Hartmann. She was "Nana" to four Grandchildren —Arianna Standish, Callum Standish, Riley Hartmann and Arthur Hartmann. In addition, she is survived by three step-children Alan Meier, Andrea Meier, and Karen Reeds, their children and grandchildren.
