Call to women and nonbinary people: Write for Sacred Resistance

I’ve received many wonderful submissions for this edition of the magazine going out in Jan/Feb, all from men. In the spirit of gender parity, I welcome submissions from women and gender nonconforming people on Sacred Resistance until the 21st of December, 2026.

Friends have used nonviolent resistance in accordance with their beliefs, such as being conscientious objectors, opposition to genocide in Gaza, war tax resistance and other movements for hundreds of years. How do you interact with sacred resistance in your life, spirituality or vocation? What Quaker principles and testimonies guide you as we move through this troubling geopolitical moment? Stories of historical or current Quaker opposition are also welcome here. Are you or a Quaker organization you’re a part of doing vital work in opposition to this neo-colonial hellscape?
