I just received the following invitation from Loletta Barrett, pastor First Friends Church in Whittier, CA. This is a great idea that other Quaker meetings might want to emulate. Whitter Friends are inviting people in the Santa Monica area who plan to attend the upcoming FCNL Annual Meeting “remotely” to gather together at First Friends Church to attend “remotely” together.

Thank you for spending time with me on Saturday. It was such a delight to talk to you and share all our mutual energy about being involved in FCNL. I so look forward to meeting you in person.

Whittier Friends are very excited to be able to hold our first FCNL West Hospitality hub experience! I hope you will send our flyer to the Friends in your meeting ­– both those who are passionate about FCNL and those who might want to get their "toes wet." It will be a great experience to have Friends from Santa Monica and Whittier meet. , , If you come in a carpool and we have a critical mass it will be even more fun!
